Ancient Faith's Chinese Division Releases Liturgy Demo CD
The Ancient Faith Mandarin Choir has been rising to the scene in the past week, along with the advent of a demo recording!
The past week, Ancient Faith Ministries has been making announcements left and right about their Chinese language division, which is something I never knew actually existed! They’ve been hard at work composing and translating a setting of the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom, and Ancient Faith has treated us to some goodies.
For starters, Ancient Faith has teased us with a behind-the-scenes video going into the making of the Cherubic Hymn in Chinese. This was the first time I’ve ever heard chanting in Chinese and it’s remarkable how well it fits with the cadence and flow of Orthodox chant.
It doesn’t stop there, as Ancient Faith has spoiled us with a demo recording of the Divine Liturgy album - freely available to download on Ancient Faith Store here. I’m not sure whether this is only accessible for a limited time, but in case it isn’t you can also download it here.
It’s awesome to find Orthodoxy growing in SE Asia. I hope that it flourishes and we continue to share in the rewards of its growth. I certainly will be one to listen to the final release when it’s made available.
